20 Mercedes-Benz Trucks To Go At Month-End Commercial Vehicle Auction

In no time at all, Park Village Auctions is ready for another commercial vehicle
auction. This time, there will be 20 Mercedes-Benz trucks on offer, with models
ranging from 2645 to 2646LS/33, and a 5 2645LS/33 Euro.
That’s the word from PVA’s Clive Lazarus, who says the company has secured a
bevvy of trucks, trailers, earthmoving, and agricultural equipment stemming from
financial institutions, liquidation matters and business rescue practitioners.
Rigid trucks and truck tractors to be sold include two Tata Chassis cabs, a FAW
15.180FL 8-ton, an Isuzu NPR 400T flat deck, MAN 26-440 BLS-LX; TGS 26.440;
TGS 27.440 and 33.480 TGS, a Freightliner Argosy 90 CUM 500, and a DAF CF 85-
460.
Trailer stock comprises, among many others, TOHF flat-deck, Trailord drop-side,
Afrit tandem and Leader Body, and CIMC 45m³ interlink side tippers; Henred
Fruehauf tandem double-axle and Piet Retief Body Builders side tipper, drop-side
link trailers, and a Serco cooler trailer.
Under the banner of earthmoving and agricultural equipment, an Ammann ASC 170
drum roller, a Caterpillar 140H grader, a Doosan DX225LCA tracked excavator, a
JCB 3DX backhoe loader, and a Weycor 1110 roller will go under the hammer.
Final lots of the day include an SA Argus Type MOPA fibre laser machine, a UD
Quester CWE 370 water tanker, and a 2022 Mercedes-Benz Marcopolo Torino 66-
seater bus.
Lazarus is optimistic about the upcoming auction, citing improved sales figures for
both the medium and heavy truck segments as reported by NAAMSA, which
increased 10% and 11% respectively in April 2025.
Lazarus: “The market remains active even in challenging times. Prudent buyers
know they can acquire quality pre-owned vehicles at fair prices at our auctions.”
The national simulcast auction will start at 11 am on Thursday, 29 May. Buyers are
encouraged to visit their nearest viewing held on Wednesday, 28 May, from 9 am to
4 pm at locations in Johannesburg, Durban, Bloemfontein, and Gqeberha. For more
