Bidders are spoilt for choice on BidX1’s online auction on 29 April

A diverse farming opportunity in a malaria-free area, prime located office space with sweeping views across Sandton, and a spacious Cape Dutch home with income-producing cottages, along with well-situated residences in Paarl in the Western Cape and Lone Hill in Johannesburg – these are just a few of the appealing properties on BidX1’s online auction on 29 April 2021.

With an invited opening bid price of R15 million, 1 655.351ha situated just outside the town of Alma in Limpopo, which comprises seven farms under one title deed, is available for purchase. Says MC du Toit, CEO for BidX1 SA: “Located in a malaria-free area with game farms and private game reserves in the surrounding area, the farms include a livestock farming operation, irrigated cropping operation, multiple residences and multiple sheds, including a cattle shed.

“This prime agricultural property includes natural springs suitable for human consumption, as well as the Sand River and Venterspruit for agricultural purposes, along with three dams and boreholes, bringing the total water for irrigation to in excess of two million cubic metres, sufficient for the 358.4ha under pivot irrigation.”

In North West province, a property comprising a grand six-bedroom, Cape Dutch home in Skeerpoort, Remhoogte, together with six income-producing cottages and frontage onto the Magalies River, has an invited opening bid price of R4 million.

Only an hour’s drive from Johannesburg, with six restaurants/pubs in the immediate vicinity and four golf courses within easy reach, the main dwelling is a spacious 600sqm, excluding the verandah. The total amenities on the property comprise 1 300sqm under roof including 15 bedrooms, 11 bathrooms, 10 covered carports, 70sqm under pergola and 560sqm covered verandahs. Three staff quarters are also included plus a 100sqm secure shed, overflow cottage, potable water borehole and irrigation water pump sourced from the Magalies River.

With spectacular views in Paarl, in the heart of the Cape Winelands region, a stylish seven-bedroom, seven-bathroom fully furnished 4 Star guesthouse is being sold as a family home – or with the option to run as a fully operational hospitality establishment. On auction with an invited opening bid price of R5 million, the property has easy access to the N1 highway and is close to some of the best schools in the Cape. Constructed in Swiss-style and nestled in a forest-like setting in the shadows of Paarl Mountain, the property is surrounded by famous wine estates, restaurants and historical sites. It includes a swimming pool, excellent security, and entertainment and braai patios.

In the sought-after, upmarket northern suburb of Lone Hill in the Sandton area of Johannesburg, a four-bedroom family home located in a boomed-off street with manned guardhouse goes on auction with an invited opening bid price of R2.6 million. The home includes a separate scullery; a wraparound covered patio with built-in braai and gas braai; an upstairs bedroom which can be used as an office or study; an automated double garage; and a separate cottage which is attached to the house but benefits from its own open-plan lounge/kitchen area leading onto a private patio – plus staff quarters and a garden shed.

Three individual offices are available to purchase in Sandton View Office Park on Hilltop Street in Johannesburg. As the name implies, the properties boast exceptional views across Sandton. Each with an invited opening bid price of R300 000, the offices are 84sqm, 87sqm and 87sqm in size, in an attractive facebrick building with 24-hour security and a perimeter electric fence, easily accessible from Bram Fischer Drive.

In Edenvale, also in Johannesburg, an entire double-storey commercial building of approximately 1 880sqm – well-positioned on Van Riebeeck Road, just 15 minutes from OR Tambo International Airport and minutes from a major shopping centre and motor mecca – is available for purchase with an opening bid price of R7 million. The building comprises a lower level of 665sqm consisting of four retail shops and a 452sqm showroom which is currently owner-occupied, while the upper level of 763sqm – also owner-occupied – houses a workshop and ramp from the lower level.
