Enormous Barnlab Auctions Announced

Park Village Auctions has announced a massive auction run across multiple days and sites where plant, machinery, equipment, factory consumables, office furniture and properties stemming from Barnlab (Pty) Ltd (currently in liquidation) will be sold.

Clive Lazarus of PVA says, “Our aim with liquidation-related sales is to realise fair prices for our clients, enabling them to recoup as much liquidity as possible to pay employees and creditors. Everything must go.” To achieve the best results, PVA has planned a series of auctions comprising onsite and timed online formats.

Plant, machinery and equipment will be sold, subject to confirmation, via a timed online auction commencing at 10 a.m. on Thursday, 21st September and closing at noon the following Thursday (28th).

Highlighted lots include raw material storage bins, a pellet press, bagging machinery, a boiler, a compressor, an intake hopper with feeder, a distribution hopper, a bagging hopper, a lathe, a press, a molasses pump and tank, electric motors, diesel tanks, 500 kVA generators, office furniture and equipment. Proceedings then move to onsite auctions of immovable properties in Vryburg, Riversonderend and Vereeniging for three consecutive days.

5 Industria Street, Vryburg (website reference 1144) starts at noon on Tuesday 3rd October. Measuring 2.5389 ha with an estimated GLA of 9 285 sqm, the property features an office building staff ablutions, a canteen, a weight bridge office, a security office, workshops, warehouses, a grain mill warehouse and grain storage silos.

1 Van Riebeeck Avenue, Riversonderend (website reference 1146) starts at noon on Wednesday 4th, October. It measures 1.6828 ha with an estimated GLA of 4 472 sqm. Notable improvements include an office building, staff ablutions, a weight bridge office, a security office, workshops, warehouses and grain storage silos. Following this sale, four vacant stands on Muller Street, Riviersonderend, will also be on the block.

The final onsite auction starts at 11 a.m. on Thursday, 5th October, at portion 10 of the Farm Panfontein, Vischgat Road, Vereeniging (website reference 1140). It measures 83.6491 ha and has an estimated GLA of 9 032 sqm comprising an office building, staff ablutions, a canteen, a laboratory, a weight bridge office, a security office, warehouses and grain storage silos.

At all three property auctions, the property is to be sold as one lot, the assets sold as one lot, and then the property and assets as one lot. The highest bid or combination thereof will be presented to the liquidator for approval.
