Enormous Three-Day Timed Engineering Auction

Park Village Auctions with Asset Auctions have announced the sale of the entire contents of an engineering factory stemming from TFM Industries (Pty) Ltd, currently in provisional liquidation.

TFM Industries manufactures specialised vehicles such as cash-in-transit, refuge collection and—notoriously—fire and rescue trucks, also known as the “red fleet” that made headlines in April 2021.

As such, this is a litigated sale duly instructed by the estate’s joint provisional liquidators in terms of a court order in the High Court of South Africa, Gauteng Division, Pretoria (case number: 016845/2023).

The sale brings to market a multitude of machinery, equipment, commercial and specialised vehicles, forklifts and office furniture and appliances. So vast are the assets on offer that the auctioneers will make them available by way of a three-day timed online auction.

Starting at 10 am on Tuesday, 1 August and concluding at 12 pm on Friday, the 4th, a summary of the available lots is as follows.

Machinery includes Atlas Copco GA 15 FF compressors and tanks, a non-operational 2012 Trumpf TruLaser 8000, various other compressors, plate rollers, welders, a tube bender, press breaks, plasma cutters, a Perkins 2000 kVA 3-phase generator with AVR, and a 400 kVA 3-phase generator.

Under the banner of equipment, lots include 6m and 9m containers, industrial shelving, assorted load bodies, fuel tankers, jigs, assorted aluminium and steel bins, spray booths, a powder coating plant, scrap metal, assorted work in progress, and tools.

A fleet of 2019 UD CWE 370 Quester Rigid Trucks, 2008-2019 Isuzu KB250 D-Teq extended cab LDVs, a 2013 Isuzu NPR400 drop-side rigid truck, 2007-2013 Nissan NP200 and NP300 LDVs, a 2010 Mazda 3.0 LDV, a 2010 Chevrolet Corsa utility LDV, a 2010 Ford Ranger 2.5 super cab LDV, a 2012 Toyota Hilux 3.0 extra cab LDV, a 2015 Volkswagen Tiguan TSI SUV, 2008-2013 Toyota Corolla 2.0 sedans, TFM purpose-built personnel carriers and assorted TFM Trailers make up the vehicle on the block.

Final lots comprise Komatsu 2.5- and 3-ton forklifts, Toyota 2.5-ton forklifts and scrap, followed by office equipment such as desks, chairs, filing cabinets, computers, monitors, laptops, a Dell overhead projector, kitchen and catering appliances.

Viewing is encouraged and will be held from 28 July to 3 August between 9 am and 4 pm at 37 Industry Road, Clayville Industrial, Olifantsfontein.
