Park Village Auctions has just announced the sale of a large farm portion with a residential dwelling, two cottages, 23 agricultural tunnels, a tractor, a browser, and slashers in Heidelberg in the new month.

The auction will see the 8.56-hectare farm portion and movable assets go under the hammer on 9 May at midday onsite at Portion 3 of the Farm Houtpoort, No 391 Lagerspoort Road.

Improvements comprise:

  • A single-story residential dwelling with a lounge, open-plan dining room and kitchen, one bedroom and en-suite bathroom.
  • A single-story bedsitter cottage with a kitchenette and bathroom.
  • A second single-story cottage with two bedrooms, a bathroom, a lounge-cum-dining room and a kitchen.
  • A double garage.
  • An office.
  • A shed.
  • Staff accommodation with ablutions.
  • 23 multi-span and single galvanised light steel frame greenhouse tunnels with plastic covering (measuring approximately 9686 square metres)
  • Three shade-net planted areas of approximately 2200 square metres.

The tunnels and shade-net areas collectively cover roughly 3.15ha of the holding.

Following immediately, the movable lots comprise a Landini Solis 75 Tractor, a Bowser with a pump and slashers.

Park Village Auctions says the property is favourably located in an agriculturally rich portion of Heidelberg that falls under part of South Africa’s maise triangle. The region is known for yielding cotton, groundnuts and sorghum predominantly among many other farming activities.
