Villiers is a small rural town situated just of the N3 Highway approximately 1.5 hours drive from Johannesburg, just inside the Fre-state Province on the Southern banks of the Vaal River just off the N3 Highway. The town infrastructure appears dilapidated and intermittently maintained by residents as the local Municipality is almost non-existent and often unable to provide residents with even the most basic necessity such as clean, running water.
