Mpumalanga Multi-Farm Portion Auction dubbed “Exciting.”

Multiple adjacent farm portions with crop, livestock and hospitality potential are set to go under the gavel with Park Village Auctions on Thursday the 19th of August.

“This is an exciting opportunity any way you look at it,” says PVA’s Peter Havenga, explaining that the farm portions offer numerous potential revenue streams, thereby alleviating cashflow risks.

“Well-developed, entirely-fenced farmland with equipped boreholes provide a conducive setting for cattle and crop farming. Meanwhile, a scenic mountain section would make for an excellent weekend hiking or biking weekend break,” Peter expands.

The farm portions in question lie on both sides of the Sandspruit/Volksrust Provincial Road, West of R23 Standerton/Volksrust Main Road. The sale comprises three public auctions as follows:

  • Portions 5 (254.5ha) and 10 (200.6ha) the Farm Oppermanskraal 110 HS, Mpumalanga to be sold as one lot commencing at 11 am. Portions 5 and 10 lie adjacent to each other and, although not consolidated, are improved as one farm. The cattle-fenced land features four equipped boreholes, a main farmhouse, workshop, garages, tractor and implement sheds, cattle pens, an old barn and dairy.

Peter notes, “This is a well-developed farm for growing crops and raising livestock with good potential for further development.”

  • Portion 9 of the farm mentioned above follows immediately after. This 482.2ha farm “lends itself to guesthouse development” as a mountainous backdrop with a waterfall provides scenic views over the crop-growing fields and grazing camps. Further features include historic buildings, several boreholes (one with a windmill) and a feeding kraal.
  • Following straight after, the 62.2ha remaining extent of Farm Dassiesklip 109 HS, Mpumalanga. Here, a small, fenced farm with one equipped borehole has been divided into crop fields and grazing camps “with the potential for large yields,” says Peter.

Name adds that such versatile land is rarely available and thus anticipates that the upcoming auction will invite competitive bidding.

Viewing of all the farm portions will be held the day before on Wednesday the 18th of August from 10 am to 4 pm by contacting Peter Havenga on 0834866030.
