Prime located Cape Winelands smallholding on BidX1 auction

A charming modern home on a 5.63ha smallholding in Stellenbosch in the heart of the scenic and world-renowned Cape Winelands, Portion 1 of Helderzicht on Blaauwklippen Road, is being sold on BidX1’s online property auction on 29 July 2021.

With an invited opening bid price of R8 million, the property, which includes a main dwelling with timber deck and braai/entertainment area and three cottages (each with one bedroom and bathroom), plus a number of stables, store rooms, offices and garages, is currently used for lifestyle and equestrian purposes.

Says MC du Toit, CEO of BidX1 South Africa: “This is a highly appealing property which is ideal for primary residence or leisure use. The main dwelling has three bedrooms, the largest of which is en suite with a double shower and outside shower and features timber floors leading onto an outside patio, while the open plan kitchen includes a pizza oven, timber tops and high-end finishes. The patio is semi-wrapped and covered, with a timber deck offering tranquil, scenic views across the dam. There is also a basement which can be converted into a cellar.”

Other interesting properties on this auction include two hospitality properties in Beaufort West in the Great Karoo – a 4-Star luxury, eight-bedroom guesthouse with an opening bid price of R2.2 million, and a five-bedroom lodge with an opening bid price of R1.2 million. In Gauteng, a spacious four-bedroom, three-bathroom family home in Benoni with an opening bid price of R1 million is ideally located close to shopping malls, schools and recreational parks, while in Secunda in Mpumalanga a tenanted three-bedroom home along with a tenanted one-bedroom apartment yielding sound rental income has an invited open bid price of R975 000.

Meanwhile a spacious three-bedroom, two-bathroom family home with enclosed wooden deck overlooking a dam, two lounges and double automated garage in sought-after Plattekloof in Cape Town’s Northern Suburbs also goes on auction with an opening bid price of R2.5 million. With easy access to the N1, the property is close to a number of schools, shopping centres and hospitals.
