As green shoots in South Africa’s construction sector appear, Park Village Auctions fortuitously bring a fleet of earth moving equipment to market in reportedly good condition.
That’s the word from PVAs Werner Burger, who says that the sale represents a favourable opportunity for contractors and construction to positioning themselves to leverage the expected construction revival.
Burger: “There couldn’t be a better time to get your hands on well-kept second-hand equipment. ResearchAndMarkets.com’s Q2 2021 report on trends and opportunities in SA that projects sector growth of 6.2% industry growth in real terms in 2021. Not to mention Government’s National Infrastructure Plan 2050, which received a warm reception.”
The assets to be sold, which stem from a private matter, comprise a fleet of 2013 Caterpillar 740B and 2017 Caterpillar 745 articulated dump trucks; 2013 – 2017 Caterpillar 966H and 2015 Caterpillar 966L wheeled loaders.
Burger announced that the sale format will be a timed online auction commencing at 10 am on Thursday 23 September and closing at 12 pm (noon) on Thursday 30 September. He says, “This allows the benefit of time to place considered bids on such big-ticket items.”
Viewings will be held between 9 am to 3 pm on the 23rd and again between 9 am and 11:30 am on 30 September in Delmas, GPS coordinates 26-07-52.0S 28-40-05.9E. Please note that strict social distancing and safety protocols will be enforced.
