Major Commercial Vehicle and Plant Auction Features Fleet of 39 Mercedes-Benz Actros Trucks

Park Village Auctions (PVA) will host its next national simulcast auction featuring an exceptional fleet of 39 Mercedes-Benz Actros 2645LS/33 truck tractors, alongside a large inventory of commercial vehicles, yellow metal, and plant equipment.

The Mercedes-Benz fleet, comprising various FS, CKD5, and EURO 3 models (ranging from 2022-2023), represents a rare opportunity for transport and logistics operators to acquire nearly-new, premium truck tractors in a single transaction.

“This fleet of 39 Mercedes-Benz Actros trucks is undoubtedly the star attraction of our upcoming auction,” says PVA’s Clive Lazarus. “For transport companies looking to expand or renew their fleet with reliable, late-model vehicles, this represents an extraordinary opportunity that rarely comes to market.”

The assets, which stem from various liquidations and repossessions, will go a long way to “satisfying the market’s demand for reliable and affordable second-hand commercial vehicles and equipment,” adds Lazarus. “The current economic climate in South Africa makes purchasing assets at auction a financially savvy decision. Businesses can significantly reduce initial costs and improve operational efficiency by acquiring well-maintained, high-quality pre-owned machinery.”

Judging by the assets that the auction house has mentioned, the upcoming sale should attract a diverse range of buyers from key industries such as construction, logistics, transport, and manufacturing.

The centrepiece Mercedes-Benz Actros fleet will be complemented by additional truck tractors, including a 2016 Freightliner Argosy 90 CUM 500 and a 2022 UD Quester GW 26 450 (E15). Bidders can also acquire link side-tipper link trailers from Leader Trailer Bodies and Piet Retief Builders.

Specialised equipment on offer includes a 1.8m toilet paper machine rewinder, an SA Argus Master Oscillator Power Amplifier (MOPA M30) fibre optic laser machine, and a 2023 StromerPower 380v 88 kVA generator.

Most noteworthy, is a complete, fully automatic sand blasting machine (2023) comprising the following components: a shot blasting machine (S/N: XKMTQ6912-202403131), an extractor, a pneumatic system, two conveyor roller beds, a feeding section, a blasting section, a cleaning section, a bucket elevator, a hopper and feeding shot-platform, a ducting system to extract dust, a DB board, a dryer, a tank, and a screw compressor.

A 2020 Lonking CDM860 front end loader is the highlighted pick among the available earth moving equipment.

As ever, finance for qualifying buyers is available through Auction Finance; for more information, contact Anton Muller on 083 790 0090.

The simulcast auction will take place on Tuesday, 14 October, commencing at 11 am from the usual PVA depots, namely, the Nasrec Showgrounds (JHB), and venues in Bloemfontein, Durban, and Gqeberha. Viewing will be held at the same locations on Monday, 13 October, from 9 am to 4 pm.
