Major Liquid Packaging Assets Up for Sale Following Industry Consolidation

Vernotone (Pty) Ltd T/A Bestpak Liquid Packaging has mandated Park Village
Auctions to dispose of significant assets from their Isando and Westmead sites by
way of an “Invitation to Submit Offers”. This move is part of a broader restructuring of
Bestpak’s manufacturing operations.
According to a statement released by the Competition Commission of South Africa
on 3 May 2024, Vernotone has acquired the Liquid Plastics Business from Nampak
Products Limited. The sale has been fully implemented.
Invitations are open to submit offers on assets that include state-of-the-art equipment
for PET preform, blow moulding, and stretch blow operations, among others, as
follows:
Isando Site:
 SIPA XFORM 500/72 Preform Injection Moulding System (2013)
 Husky HYPET225 & 300 Preform Injection Moulding systems
 Sidel SB 06 (2011), Sidel SB 02, and Uniloy Blow Moulding Machines
 Nissei ASB stretch blow machines
 Comprehensive production, moulds, handling, and storage equipment.
 Compressors (HP & LP), Chillers, Cooling towers and more.
 Full tool room setup including a HAAS VF3
Westmead Site:
 Sika DS10K Blow Moulding Machines (4 units, 2014 & 2015)
 Hesta Graham HLD700 Blow Moulding
 Nissei ASB stretch blow, Sidel & Liberty blow moulding machines
 Extensive production and storage assets
Epping Site:
 Various scrap and redundant blow moulding machines
