Massive Electronics Manufacturing Concern Assets On Offer

Park Village Auctions is inviting offers on assets stemming from a sizable electronics manufacturing concern located in Durban’s Dube TradePort.

The sale includes a manufacturing and assembly plant, equipment and components related to producing electronic equipment, particularly mobile Information and Communications Technology (ICT) devices.

Keith Green of PVA says that the line boasts “state-of-the-art equipment, which is relatively new (roughly three years) and, therefore, in excellent condition.”

The assets are available in the following lots:

  • A manufacturing and assembly plant dual run with a reflow oven;
  • Calibration and RF testing equipment, battery simulators, and a Rohde & Schwarz CMW 500 wideband radio communication tester;
  • A plant comprising a nitrogen generator, air cleaner, and a large UPS;
  • A 450kVA Generator;
  • Security assets including access control turnstiles, CCTV cameras and screens;
  • Office furniture and fittings;
  • IT equipment comprising computers, screens and keyboards;
  • Contents of a storeroom and stock components;
  • Complete cell phone stock; and
  • Cell phone jigs.

Offers will be considered on individual lots, as prescribed above, or as one combination lot.

While the plant is geared towards telecommunications, Keith advises that the equipment can be repurposed to produce “anything with a circuit board” easily.

Keith: “In this, the IoT [Internet of Things] age, electronic manufacturing is a lucrative—albeit highly competitive—business. Quality will set manufacturers apart. For this reason, I strongly recommend that interested parties view the assets. It is an impressive set-up by any means”.

Viewing will be open on Friday the 18th, Monday the 21st, and Wednesday the 23rd of February from 9 am to 3 pm, or by appointment.

The offers must be submitted by no later than 12-noon on the 28th of February 2022 on official PVA documentation found on under web reference listing 885. For more information, contact Keith Green on 082 312 6244.
