Prime Umhlanga Beachfront Property on the Block

Park Village Auctions has announced the sale of a “highly coveted” residential
property with direct beach access in Umhlanga Rocks.
That’s the word from PVA director Clive Lazarus, who highlights the property’s
appeal, stating, “Beachfront real estate is near impossible to come by these days,
especially in Umhlanga where many corporates are setting up shop.”
The property in question also carries some notoriety, stemming from the Gupta-
owned concern, Islandsite Investments 180 (Pty) Ltd, which was the subject of an
embroiled legal battle recently resolved in the constitutional court.
With renewed gusto to realise the business turnaround potential, the estate’s curator
has duly instructed Park Village Auctions to dispose of the property, located at 8
Trevor Place, La Lucia, Umhlanga Rocks. The sale comprises a four-bedroom
residential dwelling (requiring some upkeep modifications) set astride a 1 101 square
metre stand with a private beach entrance.
The house features an open-plan kitchen, dining and lounge leading to an
entertainment room with a built-in bar, a small storeroom, a guest cloakroom, three
en-suite bedrooms, a double garage and a swimming pool. An upper level features
the fourth main bedroom with an en-suite bathroom and a dressing room, which is
said to boast “spectacular” sea views.
According to PVA’s website and advertisements, the property will be sold via a
simulcast auction, which comprises an onsite sale with live, simultaneous online
bidding. Participants must pay a R250 000.00 registration deposit to be eligible to
bid.
Onsite viewing will be open on Friday, the 5 th of April, from 10 am to 2 pm. The
auction will commence at 11 am on Monday, the 8 th of April.
