PVA to Host Historic Auction: 23 Prime Farms and Equipment

Park Village Auctions is set to host one of the most significant agricultural auctions in recent history, featuring 23 prime farms and an extensive selection of farming equipment. This extraordinary sale comprises an impressive 3,749.73 hectares of immovable property and numerous movable assets.

“This is your chance to invest in fertile agricultural land and equipment,” says Clive Lazarus, Director of PVA. “Opportunities of this magnitude are rare. This auction is a must-attend event for serious investors and farmers alike.”

The sale falls under PVA’s business rescue division, which specialises in selling businesses facing financial difficulties. According to Clive Lazarus, “In most cases, businesses sold under this banner simply need a capital injection or restructuring to continue operating,” thus presenting a favourable opportunity for investors.

Online pre-bidding opens on 17 March 2025 and will conclude in lot order via a simulcast (live and online) auction from Hammonia Auction Complex on Thursday, 10 April 2025, at 11:00 am sharp.

The 23 farms will be auctioned individually and then again in grouped lots. The highest bid or combination of bids will be considered, with all offers subject to confirmation.

Movable assets comprise an extensive range of agricultural equipment and vehicles. Tractors, trailers, trucks, and utility vehicles feature a Ford 6600, two 10-ton trailers, and a Mercedes Benz C200, among many others.

Specialised equipment includes a 2018 Kat Maxidrill 300/500, Pichon fertiliser spreader and mixer, 2014 Haybuster 2655 Shortcut, Delyn hammer mill and auger, Cow Manager system, FutureCow pulley system, 33.7 m³ silo, Adlib 250L and 500L feeders, and 10,000L molasses tanks.

Additional miscellaneous assets include 6m x 3m Freight Tainer containers, a Matweld 350A transformer MIG welder, cooling towers, and cold rooms.

Viewing days will be held at the Hammonia Auction Complex on 8 and 9 April from 9 am to 2 pm. For a detailed catalogue and more information, please visit www.parkvillageauctions.co.za under reference number 1799.
