Park Village Auctions will soon make available the entire contents of a woodworking concern by means of a timed online auction. That’s the word from PVA’s Werner Burger who says that the auction will appeal to a broad range of carpenters from cabinetry to furniture manufacturing concerns.
Burger: “There are massive savings to be had. The auction represents a favourable opportunity to acquire CapEx items from wood planners to CNC machines, saws and presses (and more) at a reasonable second-hand price as opposed to buying new in these tough economic times.”
Assets under the banner of specialised machinery and equipment include a WoodTech Technowrap 2900 heated laminator press, a Blum Minipress, Masterwood MW18.38K nesting CNC machines; an Austro Striebig panel saw machine, an R&M Group PS315 sliding table saw, an Allwood edge bander machine (12-55mm), a Bauer RS-22 MAM-880 screw compressor with air vessel, and an ISE wood planer.
A collection of Austro Coral assets comprising dual and single dust collectors, two roller systems, double and single dust collectors, and a “dust extraction and pollution control system 6 bag” will also be on the block.
Also to be sold, a Deutz TCD 2013 L06-4V generator, a MeSa multi drill machine, assorted electric motors, 1000lt flow bins, 14 Division multi-tier wood shelving, one lot comprising assorted stock laminated sheeting and edging, one lot of assorted work in progress (wood) assets, and one lot assorted of off-cut marble.
Assorted office furniture and workshop equipment, including woodwork tables, wood and steel worktables on castors, a purpose-built roller stand, and multi-tier industrial steel shelving, make up the auction’s final lots.
Viewing of the assets will be possible at 407 Richards Bay Avenue, Kirkney, Pretoria on the 16th of February from 9am to 4pm.
Timed auctions allow bidders to view lots and place bids online, but the bids are not contested in real-time. Instead, the auction continues over a set period, in which bids can be placed on assets at any time before the auction closes. After that, the highest bid on each item wins.
The timed, online-only, auction will run for one week from 10am on Wednesday the 17th of February until 10am on Wednesday the 24th of February.
