Bids will be flying as Marbros Farming (Pty) Ltd says farewell to the industry with an
enormous two-day simulcast auction. That’s the word from Park Village Auctions’
Bloemfontein representative Nico Maree, charged with overseeing the “historic
event.”
Maree: “Marbros Farming is famed as a “legacy of agricultural excellence”
throughout Limpopo. Now, the legacy will live on through bidders who will own a
piece of history.”
Assets to be sold via the simultaneous live, onsite and online auction include farms
(used for Sorghum), tractors, sprayers, harvesters, trucks, trailers, loaders, vehicles,
and various farm equipment and implements.
Immovable property on the block comprises portions 6,7, and 8 of Farm Petersburg
671, 648.6864 ha in extent with a total of 598 ha of arable land.
Under the banner of tractors, John Deere models 2130, 6300, 6400, 7820, 7830, and
8400 will be sold. John Deere sprayers include a 4720 and 4710, while S660 and
9660 STS harvesters and a 5725 tractor from the same brand will be available.
A 1980 Mercedes Benz 1417, 1989 Mercedes Benz 1213, 1997 Volvo FH12, and a
1996 Toyota Dyna make up the truck stock of the day. There will also be a Case
580H backhoe loader and JH350 loader, a CAT 936E International bulldozer, flat
deck and low bed trailers, among many others, on the block.
Highlighted lots under the banner of farm equipment and implements include a 545
baler, 12-row planters, 936D headers, a 654A header and multiple slashers from
John Deere; Franco Fabril headers, as well as numerous planters, field spans,
cultivators, rippers, Topdress toolbars, offsets, chisel ploughs, bale forks, stalks
choppers and rakes.
The final lots for the two-day bidding bonanza comprise a 2012 Toyota Hilux 2.5
D4D SRX, 2004 Toyota 3.0 D.E, and 1987 Mercedes 280; and miscellaneous assets
such as a Polaris Sportsman 500 H.O quad, a No Limit Pls70m quad, various John
Deere automatic mowers, assorted spare parts, tools and chemicals.
Realtime pre-bidding commences online on Monday, September 9th and concludes
(in lot number order) via a live simulcast auction from 10 am on September 17 th and
18th.
Viewing will be on the 14 th and 16 th of September between 9 am and 2 pm from the
auction venue: Farm Zoetdoornlaagte, Bela-Bela / Settlers District, Limpopo.
