Commercial Vehicle Auctions Dubbed “A Smart Investment Strategy.”

Park Village Auctions has announced a commercial vehicle auction set for 15
October, featuring an impressive lineup of late-model vehicles and equipment. PVA
Director Clive Lazarus says that new commercial vehicle sales trends combined with
the current economic climate of high interest rates and inflation make a compelling
case for acquiring pre-owned assets from the upcoming auction.
Lazarus says that the latest new commercial vehicle sales data from NAAMSA
(September 2024) shows concerning trends reflecting affordability in the market.
Medium Commercial Vehicles (MCVs) showed nominal 0.5% growth, Light
Commercial Vehicles (LCVs) and Heavy Commercial Vehicles (HCVs) have declined
17% and 18% respectively year-on-year.
“This auction comes at a crucial time,” says Lazarus. “With new vehicle sales down
and operating costs rising, many businesses are looking for smart ways to acquire
the necessary equipment.”
Standout lots that would typically command premium prices include:
 A 500 kVA mini substation
 A 2023 500 kVA Prime generator
 A 2023 CIMC 20m3 side tipper link trailer
 A 2022 Mercedes Benz Actros 2645 truck tractor
 Multiple 2021 models, including a UD GWE 440 Quester and a specialised
2021 UD Quester CGE 370 twin-steer truck equipped with a Thor 5000 drill rig
Other highlighted lots include Scania G460, MAN TGX 26-540, Freightliner Argosy
truck tractors, a Kia K2700 drop side rigid truck, Henred Fruehauf and AFRIT
tautliner link trailers, and an Iveco AFRIWAY 18.28 m bus.
