“Massive” Multi-Property Auction Spans Pietermaritzburg to La Lucia Ridge

Park Village Auctions will embark on a “massive” multi-property auction that will see eight residential properties between Pietermaritzburg and La Lucia Ridge sold over two days.

That’s the word from PVA’s Keith Green who says describes the upcoming sale as residential property extravaganza that is not to be missed: “From student accommodation and an apartment building to family-friendly abodes with a climatic luxury La Lucia Ridge home finale—buyers will be spoilt for choice!”

Commencing at 11am on the 14th of September the first home to be sold in the auction run will be number 22 Oribi Road, Scottsville, Pietermaritzburg. It is a single-storey, three-bedroom, one bathroom dwelling that boasts a one-bedroom garden cottage, measuring 1476sqms in total.

The sale then moves onto number 24 Oribi Road, another single-storey three-bedroom, one bathroom dwelling with a private scullery, a study, a covered patio with a built-in-braai and timber deck leading to the back garden. The 1000sqm property further features staff accommodation and a double carport.

Following immediately after that, 24A Oribi Road, a 689sqm three-bedroom, two-bathroom home with a small study, swimming pool, double carport and a timber ZoZo hut.

The final Oribi Road property of the day, number 26, follows. This 1901sqm house comprises an open plan lounge-cum-dining room with fireplace, a kitchen, a laundry room, four bedrooms, two bathrooms, a single garage, double carport and staff accommodation.

Proceedings then move to number 47 Maud Street, Scottsville, where a three-bedroom, one bathroom home with a swimming pool and two garden cottages on a 1695sqm property will be sold.

The sale of number 45 Alexandra Road, Scottsville, will then commence at 1pm., the property takes the form a 62-sleeper student accommodation commune comprising 21 shared bedrooms with six bathrooms, seven communal kitchens, a communal TV room, five single units (comprising a kitchen and en-suite bedroom), a study hall, a general storeroom, a security guard cubicle and on-site parking set astride an expansive 2729sqms

Following after that at 2pm—and concluding day one’s proceedings, the sale of unit numbers 1, 2, 3 and 4 of “SS Park Mansions”, Apartment Building, 212 Peter Kerchoff Street, Pietermaritzburg. This is a three-storey apartment building comprises four residential apartments, which each contain a lounge-cum-dining room, a kitchen, two bedrooms, bathroom and toilet. The common-property area of the apartment block features an open-plan office, a boardroom, a staff kitchen, a filing room and staff cloakrooms.

Day two commences at 11am on the 15th of September with the sale of a luxury split-level home located at number 13 Wilson Way, La Lucia Ridge, KwaZulu-Natal.

This property, which Green describes as an “entertainer’s delight” comprises, on the upper ground level, an entrance foyer, a formal lounge with a fireplace, a double volume dining room, an open plan TV lounge, a kitchen with scullery, a guest cloakroom and a study with an en-suite guest bedroom.

The lower ground level features a large entertainment lounge, a guest bathroom, a tiled patio and access to an outdoor swimming pool. The upper level hosts a TV lounge, a study, and three en-suite bedrooms—two of which feature dressing rooms and balconies. Additional features include garaging for three vehicles, a paved courtyard and staff accommodation.

Each sale will take place on-site at each respective property. It must be noted that strict hygiene and safety protocol, including a “no mask; no entry” policy will be enforced at all of the venues.
