Steel Engineering Assets To Go Via Timed Auction

Park Village Auctions has announced a timed online auction of machinery and equipment related to structural steel, piping and platework manufacturing.

The assets stem from the liquidation of a Middleburg-based engineering concern that serviced several mines and construction companies.

PVA’s Werner Bruger says that companies often find purchasing specialised equipment and machinery from liquidation auctions advantageous for several reasons, such as cost-savings and access to quality second-hand assets. The auction house has chosen the timed online format to allow buyers the appropriate time to place considered bids on big-ticket items.

Assets to be sold in lots as follows:

  • An 8m MECOF bed lathe
  • A FRORIEP vertical boring machine, 2m table and 2x turrets
  • A FOCUS CNC FBL300L CNC lathe and FANUC 0i-TD series controller
  • A V-Power VGP 275 diesel generator, 275 kVA
  • An EAGLE CNC KM150 CNC milling machine and Syntec controller
  • FB Cranes 10T double gantry overhead crane, 17.6m span
  • FB Cranes 5T single gantry overhead crane, 17.6m span
  • Assorted tools
  • A fleet of Toyota Hilux single-cab LDVs
  • An IVECO 480 Stralis truck tractor
  • A Hino 300 drop-side rigid truck
